Established on 1'st July, 1960.
Main activities were at first cultural. Latter involved in Sports & Games, particularly in Volleyball. As the time passed volleyball over cultural activities.
Year 1963, Beginning of a new era in Howrah District Volleyball. Baksara Anushilan Chakra started its maiden journey as a Volleyball team.
1965-66, Baksara Anushilan Chakra participated in the 2'nd Division League, organized by the Howrah District Volleyball Association(HDVA) and became Champion. Qualified for playing in the 1'st Division Volleyball League of HDVA from the next year.
1970 decade was the Golden Era of Baksara Anushilan Chakra(BAC).
1971-1972, Baksara Anushilan Chakra for the first time became Runner-up in the 1'st Division League of HDVA and that was the beginning of our march to victory.
1972-1973 to 1980-1981, BAC became 1'st Division League & Knock-Out Champion i.e. "Double Crown" consecutively for 9 years & made an unbreakable record in the history of HDVA.
1979, Chanchal Bannerjee of Baksara Anushilan Chakra became the first man from the Howrah District to be honored with Captaincy of the State Volleyball Team (Sr. Men).
